Before dealing with any overheated cables, first ensure safety and immediately cut off the power supply.
2. Investigation reasons:
Check the current-carrying capacity: Confirm whether the cable is overloaded. If the load exceeds the carrying capacity of the cable, a larger-sized cable should be replaced.
Check the condition of the cable sheath: Damage or aging of the sheath may cause the wire to heat up. The damaged part needs to be cut off and re-insulated.
Check the joints: Poor cable joints are a common cause of overheating. It is necessary to check whether the joints are tightly crimped and whether the connection meets the requirements.
