Electrical performance
(1) Resistivity: The resistivity of copper is much lower than that of aluminum, which leads to a correspondingly lower resistance of copper core cables. This means that under the same current, the voltage loss of copper core cables is smaller, which can reduce energy loss.
(2) Current-carrying capacity: Due to its lower resistance, copper core cables can carry a greater current, approximately 30% more than aluminum alloy cables of the same cross-section.
(3) Electrical conductivity: The electrical conductivity of copper is higher than that of aluminum, making copper core cables more efficient in transmitting electricity.
Mechanical properties
(1) Strength: The mechanical strength of copper is higher than that of aluminum, especially at high temperatures, the performance of copper is more stable.
(2) Ductility: Copper also has better ductility than aluminum, making copper core cables more flexible during installation, easier to bend and thread through pipes
